When doing research for the arrival of my own baby, I became fascinated with this montessori method of stimulating our newborns’ sight and cognitive development through high contrast black & white cards.
 
In the 1960s, Dr. Robert Frantz discovered that newborns can only see in black, white and gray tones, and only about 8-12 inches in front of them. These cards can be used during tummy time, hung from a mobile, or hung on a wall at their eye-level. 
 
Even as they grow older, these cards can be used for for teaching new words, games, and colored on! The possibilities are endless :) 
 
This digital download contains 10 pages of hand-painted black & white imagery that are ready to print on letter-sized paper and cut out. Once cut, each individual card is 6 1/4" x 4 1/2".
